For the past 5 years I have been working up in Northern Ontario and miraculously through the bugs and the cold I did manage glimpse an outcrop, or drill on occasion. My work experience so far has been specialized in Platinum and Palladium exploration and research beginning with North American Palladiums Lac des Illes Project and then the Stillwater Canada Inc Marathon Cu-PGM Project. I have done extensive professional development on the mid continental rift including the ILSG, GSA, PDAC and PRC (refer below).
I was in charge of keeping claims information up to date and submitting yearly assessment work as well as creating and maintaining the mapping, trenching and drilling data including geological map production. This included producing maps for trenching, mapping and prospecting as well as creating full coverage cross sections for a 26km swath of land. During the field season I aided in maintaining safety by implementing check in and check out procedures and running safety meetings. I scheduled field activities and staff and planned and executed field programs.
I compiled and analyzed geochemical databases, presented to the engineering committee and stakeholders. I attended community meetings and interviewed with a local women in mining initiative.
I am fully trained in the operation and training of XRF devices and have used them in the field.

Environmental and Geophysics
During University I started my career in environmental consulting in Toronto. This job was very dynamic and required that I work both individually and as a team. My main focus was monitoring and sampling remediation systems under gas stations, but extended to monitoring landfills, taking soil samples, monitoring well pressure and taking surface samples at aggregate quarry sites. As a final project during this work experience I worked on monitoring how pumping down water for a car garage would influence contamination of an adjacent site.
My next position was as a geophysical consultant in Calgary. The work varied although a lot of it was doing remote helicopter supported ERT surveys through muskeg. During this work experience I got to go to the North West Territories and Fort McMurray and complete environmental EM and ERT on an active extraction sites.
In 2009 I went to work in Northern BC as a environmental assistant at a copper molybdenum mine. Through this position I determined and maintained the quarterly sampling scheduling as well as the day to day effluent and pit sampling and lab work. This supplied some amazing scenery.
After my position in Northern BC I came back to Ontario to work as a research assistant at the university of waterloo. This position exposed me to a variety of engineering techniques, but I was mainly focused on cement casting and moisture profiling as well as the degredation of persulfates and ground water flow.
